Background: Jacob Devaney, Culture Collective Founder and Director, was introduced to Kathy Eldon of The Creative Visions Foundation in the fall of 2005 by mutual friend Kate McCallum. After an inspiring dialogue with Kathy Eldon, and Carrie Maloney of The Creative Visions Foundation the website was launched in the spring of 2006.

Jacob is a contributing blogger at The Huffington Post and works with youth and art through his company, Living Folklore, based in Arizona. He has developed numerous community art programs as well as a series of children and family media programs.
